Texas DPS allows Two Hours to complete the entire testing process (see test's tasks here). We charge about half of what other competitors do. The total of $375 will be your entire  out-of-pocket cost for the rent of the truck and trailer for the CDL Class-A  test purpose. On the Test day, the truck will be ready for you at the DPS location at which you are scheduled for test, al-least 15 minutes before the scheduled test time.   The $375 include all the costs of fuel. insurance, and the delivery of the truck to the test site.  We offer trucks in both Manual transmission and automatic transmission

If you for any reason do not pass any portion of the CDL Test, the truck rental for the re-test will be $250

Truck-Tractor and Trailer Rental by the Hour

It is highly recommended that you get familiar with the truck you are going to use for the DPS road test. Being familiar with the truck and the way it handles is a key for passing the multiple tests you will be going through; including the Safety Inspection, the various skills maneuvers, and the road-tests.  In order to help you with getting familiar with the truck and its handling, we make the Class-A CDL test equipment available to you on rental basis by the hours, with discounted block-hours rates should you decide to use the truck for training purpose.  Here's the details of the hourly rates we offer 

CDL Class-A Truck Rental on Hourly-Basis

We charge the total of $85 per hour for the truck-tractor and trailer with a minimum of two hours; this is less than half of what other competitors charge for the same service. The hourly fee is inclusive of the costs of fuel, insurance, and the CDL licensed driver who must be setting nest to you anytime you drive on public roads on a Commercial Learner Permit (CLP).

Rent-by-the-hour is recommended for CDL candidates with good-level of competency in driving and handling a Class-A Commercial Vehicle. For those just starting their training to get a CDL, we recommend the use of the Block-hours rental which is first much less costly, and it will also offer you expert instructions on how to handle the truck, the test, and more important help you to pass the DPS exam.  Here are some of the available options and their relevant costs. The cost are inclusive of the costs of fuel, insurance, and the expert licensed driver to assist you.

CDL Class-A Truck Rental for Training

  1. SIX-HOURS (6-Hrs) Equipment Rental - This six block-hours truck rental can be completed in One, two, or three days at the minimum increment of two hours per day, depending on your available time and ability. Your total out-of-pocket-cost for the six-hours block is $425

  2. TEN-HOURS (10-Hrs) Equipment Rental - This Ten block-hours truck rental can be completed in up-to Five-days at the minimum increment of two hours per day, depending on your available time and ability. Your total out-of-pocket-cost for the Ten-hours block is $750

  3. Twenty-HOURS (20-Hrs) Equipment Rental - This Twenty block-hours truck rental can be completed in up-to Ten-days at the minimum increment of two hours, depending on your available time and ability. Your total out-of-pocket-cost for the Twenty-hours block is $1,500

You will also receive an added benefit if you rent our equipment in Block-Hours for your CDL training, as you will also receive a discount rate on the use of the truck on your Test day for your CDL test. We will make the truck on which you trained available to you for the DPS Class-A CDL test for only $200 total out-of-pocket cost.
